Battling forward Daniel Fudger has become the Invicta Dynamos’ eleventh signing of the summer.

Head Coach Kevin Parrish today announced that he had rewarded the skater for his excellent form in 2011/12 with a contract for the new season.

Daniel Fudger first made fleeting appearances for the Dynamos in the EPL during the 1998/99 season before eventually returning to the side as a regular in 2002/03. In 2005/06 he then spent a year at Alexandra Palace with the Haringey Greyhounds before switching to the Romford Spitfires the following term. After a spell down Rom Valley Way, Fudger then opted to take a break from the game before returning to the Dynamos setup in 2008/09 and icing for the Mustangs in the ENIHL South Division 2.

He would stay with the second tier outfit for a further two campaigns until, in 2010/11, Head Coach Kevin Parrish recalled him to the most senior side after watching him tally 24 points in just 11 early season outings.

Now, in the ENIHL’s top league, Fudger continued to impress with his excellent work rate, whilst also chipping in with a number of important goals and assists, and his 14 point haul from 22 games earned him a another contract come the summer. In 2011/12 he was then on top form again as he appeared 43 times, across each of the lines, and managed 11 goals and 27 assists to make him one of the team’s top performers and a potential ‘Player of the Season’ for many of the club’s supporters.

Now, having penned a deal to keep him in Kent for a further year, Fudger will be hoping to top his excellent campaign as he continues to don the number 74 shirt at the Silver Blades Gillingham.

Speaking on the return of grinder Daniel Fudger, Head Coach Kevin Parrish revealed that he thought the skater had excelled in 2011/12 and suggested that he simply wanted more of the same when the new season gets underway in September.

Parrish said, “Dan was on top of his game last season, played across all the lines and never looked out of place when he was a part of the first line trio. He did a job whenever he took to the ice, brought some energy to our game and also got himself amongst the points. If he can do the same again this year then he will be a major part of the side”.

The Head Coach then praised Fudger’s work ethic when he added, “What sets Dan apart from many others is his desire to get stuck in, claim the puck and secure the win for his team. He battles from puck drop to final buzzer and it’s that commitment and passion that will see him perform an important role for us again in 2012/13”.

Daniel Fudger’s signing now takes the team’s number of forwards to six and the roster to eleven with Head Coach Kevin Parrish expected to announce another capture in the near future.
